When he was no more than a mewling kit, a baby was left on the step of a guild of mercenaries. A young roegadyn woman immediately took him in and raised him as her own, naming him Arloh.
He grew up alongside a multitude of displaced youths the woman sponsored, his interests in the mechanical and magical not only approved but encouraged by his adoptive mother.As soon as he was of age he attended academies to foster his growth but his social skills remained stunted; despite much encouragement to socialise he became a wallflower, much preferring to slink about in the shadows than make himself known.
Reaching adulthood, this didn't change, and when a room is too busy or too loud or an individual simply bears an intimidating presence, he's likely to communicate with his hands rather than his voice when possible.
